Cometic”s AFM gaskets have an aluminum core with a chemically blown; compounded nitrile synthetic thin foam-like rubber layer bonded to both sides. Temperature resistant to over 250?F (122?C). AFM rubber has a 85% recovery while maintaining strong torque retention. Re-torqueing; gasket sealers or silicone beads are not required.
